We love TWO MEN AND A TRUCK ®’s dedication to Moving People Forward – a true testament to our mission of Making Everyday Heroes More Heroic ™.

The TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Mary Ellen’s Moving People Forward Scholarship honors the company’s founder and mother of the original two men. The scholarship was created eight years ago to lay the groundwork for participating managers to become successful TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchisees. Throughout the six-month program, four participating managers vigorously worked to attend webinars, complete assignments, present business plans, and more, aiming for enough program points to be awarded 100 percent of their franchise fee.

On Thursday, January 12, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® President, Randy Shacka, traveled to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to present a $50,000 check to this year’s deserving scholarship winner: Denise Blaisdell.

Although there was only one participant who received the entirety of their franchise fee, all participants were still winners. Clint Weaver, Cody Napoli, and Ferris Owens – our remaining participants – have proven they have what it takes to be a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchisee. After dedicating the past six months to the Mary Ellen’s Moving People Forward Scholarship Program, Weaver, Napoli, and Owens have each earned a portion of their franchise fee, which will go toward opening new TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations.

Congratulations to all the Moving People Forward participants.

Meet Everyday Hero: Denise Blaisdell

Denise Blaisdell began her journey with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK in June 2018 as a Sales and Marketing Manager in Baton Rouge, Alabama. Within her first year working at the Baton Rouge, Louisiana franchise, revenue grew by nearly 40%, and she increased the referral rate from the low-80s to the high-90s, hitting 100% twice. Blaisdell secured long-term customers, such as Louisiana State University and the Louisiana Workforce Commission, and diversified revenue streams by adding storage and crated moves to the franchise offerings. Additionally, she spearheaded multiple changes to the franchises’ HR systems and made health, dental, vision, and voluntary life insurance, employee incentives, as well as 401K matching, available to all employees. In January 2021, Blaisdell became the General Manager of the Mobile and Foley, Alabama franchise locations. Within the same franchise locations, she stepped up to be the Regional Vice President of Operations during March 2022.

Upon completion of the Moving People Forward program – along with the $50,000 check – Denise Blaisdell will move from her current role Regional Vice President of Operations in Mobile and Foley, Alabama, to become a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise owner in Monmouth, New Jersey in partnership with multi-unit franchisee, Joseph South.

Joseph South shared that throughout the past six months, Blaisdell has fine-tuned her knowledge and experience to succeed in her next steps as a franchisee.

“Denise brings leadership and success to the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK system,” South said. “She makes everything she touches more successful. And, if she doesn’t know something, she learns it and teaches it to everyone around her. The compassion and care she gives to everyone she works with and works for will never change.”

Congratulations to the newest TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Franchisee, Denise Blaisdell!
