Southwest – Fall |
The Southwest's longer summers and mild falls mean that bugs remain active throughout the fall. American and smoky brown cockroaches will invade homes in search of food and warmth. Crazy ant and fire ant colonies can enter through cracks and holes near the ground, while continued outdoors activities with pets give fleas a chance to make your home theirs. Scorpions will continue to hunt, while the seeds and grasses that mice feed on begin to die, forcing them to find other sources of nourishment.
