Florida Summer |
Summer is often the peak of insect activity. Carpenter ants will be attracted to fruit trees, roses and sweet foods. Earwigs may move indoors in search of food. Midsummer is also the time when hornet and yellow jacket colonies located on or near a house become large enough to represent a threat to the people living there. In addition, warm weather and outdoor activities with pets mean more fleas in your living areas. Pavement ant colonies may expand into the home from garages, sidewalks, and concrete foundations.
