Appearance
Up to one inch in length with black and yellow stripes.

Behavior
These wasps will aggressively attack anyone disturbing their nest. Unlike bees, a single yellow jacket can sting many times. Their stings are extremely painful.

Habitat
Yellow jackets prefer to nest in the ground, but may also build colonies inside walls.
