Appearance
About 1/8-inch long, these black ants have distinctive white feet.

Behavior
Numbering up to one million ants, white-footed ant colonies are difficult to destroy.

Habitat
Common in Southern Florida and Hawaii, these ants will establish nests in walls, beneath carpeting, and in other suitable spaces.

Treatment
Another species that does not respond to bait, these ants require professional treatment.
