Appearance
These brown ants are about 1/8-inch long.

Behavior
These ants nest in soil near concrete. They nest under foundations and in hollow block walls.

Habitat
These pests are found in the Northeast, Midwest, and Pacific Coast.

Treatment
These ants can be controlled with commercial baits, but a long-term treatment is necessary for success.
