Moisture Ant
Appearance
About 1/8-inch in length, these ants are difficult to distinguish from others species.

Behavior
These ants will invade a home while searching for food. They will establish new colonies near sources of water and are often found in kitchens and bathrooms.

Habitat
Moisture ants will build small carton nests that resemble hard clods of soil. These nests are often found built around a water pipe or onto a wooden sill plate or wall stud.

Treatment
Professional treatment is usually required. Repairing leaks and cracks is essential to preventing reinfestation.
