Dark brown, with a forceps like pincer on the rear of its abdomen. Earwigs are about one inch long.

Behavior
Earwigs will enter homes in search of other insects.

Habitat
Earwigs live under mulch, timber, and other objects.

Treatment
Eliminating earwig habitats is the best way to control this pest, though professional assistance is recommended for bad infestations.
