Appearance
Up to 1-1/2 inches long, crickets are easily recognizable to most
people.
|
|
Behavior
Crickets are attracted to the light in homes at night, and will crawl
into any hole or crack that allows them to get inside. They are most
active during the summer.
|
Habitat
Crickets typically live outdoors, though they will breed indoors.
They can damage clothing and other items.
|
Treatment
Sealing exterior cracks and using yellow bug lights outdoors are two
good ways to reduce the risks of cricket infestations. Large cricket
populations in attics and crawl spaces may require professional treatment. |
