Clothes Moth
Appearance
There are two main types of clothes moths: webbing clothes moths and case-making moths. Webbing clothes moths are about 3/8-inch long and cream colored with a tuft of red hair on the head. Case-making moths are also 3/8-inch long and cream colored, but have three dark spots on the front of each wing.

Behavior
Will feed on any item made natural fibers, damaging clothing, carpets, and other items.

Habitat
Wherever clothing is stored.

Treatment
Store clothing in clean plastic covers or zippered plastic units. Use mothballs or cedar to deter moths. Avoid storing clothing in boxes in attics, garages or basements. Severe infestations may require professional treatment.
