Appearance
Workers are about 1/8-inch long. Color ranges from
dark brown to black.

Behavior
One of the most difficult ants to control as these
ants create huge super colonies that may extend across several properties.

Habitat
Many areas of the home, including stacked firewood,
debris and piles of leaves, inside walls, and other areas.
|
|
Treatment
Due to the large size of their colonies, Argentine ant infestations
require professional treatment. Removing stacks of firewood and debris,
sealing exterior cracks, and keeping mulch to a minimum can help prevent
infestations. |
